Archer Tiger Baseball Family,
I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I know we had the rug pulled out from under our feet last year as a program. It was completely out of our control, and a difficult pill to swallow. As we went through the summer, there was some light at the end of the tunnel as we were fortunate to have a few practices. Now we are heading into the fall and should be able to have our normal 4 on 1 schedules to prepare for the upcoming season. The goal will be to start those 4 on 1’s in the 3rd week of September. Now that our current school schedule is set, we begin in person learning this coming week. We will be able to begin our lifting program 7th period. I know there are some people who have chosen to do digital learning and if that is the case let me know. I will provide the workout for those athletes to work at home.
I do think we will have the upcoming baseball season in light of the success softball is currently having. We met 2 weeks ago as officers to map out a plan for the upcoming fundraising season. We think fundraising will be different from the past. Businesses have been hit hard due to the pandemic. With that being said, I put together a budget that is as bare bones as we could go. With the current budget, dues will come down from $1500 to $1000; we hope that will help with the current financial climate. We will still have fundraising opportunities to help pay off dues. We will have our Tiger Bucks (November), Our Fund (January/February), and we are trying a virtual 5k instead of our golf tournament (January).
